Marysia Żukowska
Poland

I’ve been drawing since I can remember, starting with princesses in crayons on the walls :) Later on, pencil and ink became my preferred medium and I liked to portrait people mostly. Time flies, and the subject has changed. Now I focus on drawing birds because I am completely enchanted by their amazing and various beauty. Little birds, living in parks and gardens, are my favorite models. Their colors, agility, liveliness and, last but not least, singing are so charming… I also admire corvids for their stunning intelligence and glamour. I live in Poland, but I also like to look further around for inspiration. Hummingbirds, those tiny flying jewels, are wonderful subjects that I can’t resist. I hope to see them live one day!

Drawing wildlife is a fantastic experience. I hope to add my little contribution to nature protection when I share my work with the public. Inspiring anyone to look closer to one’s hitherto unnoticed flying neighbors would be the greatest joy to me.

I am so grateful to Anthony Lujan for the opportunity to join the hummingbird community of artists. May they spread around the world, bring joy to the receivers, and raise awareness of the importance of hummingbird species and environmental protection!
