My new addition {Pet}

Yes in deed I have a new family member! Everyone meet my baby girl “Roo”. Her mother is an English Bulldog and father is Chihuahua. It was very unexpected said the owners. I’ll add out story a bit later.

I’ll go more in detail in a while but let me share some photographs I took of her last night when I brought her home and more photographs I took of her this morning.

10 Firework Photography Suggestions {Tips}

I’ve always wanted to photograph fireworks and capture that special moment as they explode in front of me.  I was amazed how easy it was. I think it’s even easier with a digital camera as you can get immediate feedback as to whether the shots you’ve taken are good or not and then make adjustments.

It’s not the fact of going to any firework show but also framing the landscape.

I thought I’d share a few fireworks digital photography tips:

Cracker Bark Recipe {Recipe}

My dear friend Ingrid Snow passed on this recipe to me. I feel I have mastered it finally. I have enjoyed baking it and giving it as Christmas presents this year to my family.

As I inherited the recipe, I want to pay it forward. So here it is. Be sure you try it for yourself as it’s super easy to make and so delicious to eat.

It’s been three months…

…it’s been three months since my Grandmother passed. I find my heart so empty.  My Great Aunt (grandma’s oldest sister) and I went to her graveside yesterday to pay her a visit. It was my Grandparents Wedding Anniversary yesterday. Happy 61st Anniversary Grandparents!

Next Destination {Travel}

As I plan my travels to Croatia, my mind wonders of distant lands. The doors are open and my mind soars. I wonder what could be planned or explored. What is reasonable and what is not. I wish I could pack it up.

As I think forward it reminds where I have been. I think a few “Travel Tuesday” are in need.

Photograph taken in Cusco, Peru 2008

Here are a few quotes and poems I found on Travel. Please stay tuned as I draft my next “Travel Tuesday”.

I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move; to feel the needs and hitches of our life more nearly; to come down off this feather-bed of civilisation, and find the globe granite underfoot and strewn with cutting flints.

40 Natural Highs

My dearest friend Natalie sent me this in an email. To be honest I don’t have much time to read email forwards as they are usually pretty lengthy. But this one I really enjoyed and thought I would share it with you.

Please feel free to comment below which ones you experienced today. I shared mine.

My beloved Grandmother Nada Kliebert

It’s been 2 months, 6 days since my grandmother passed away. I miss her everyday as she has acted as mother figure to me. It’s taken me a while to gather my thoughts and figure out how I was going to share her legacy through my life with her. So I thought I would take it in a few stages. I will start here at the end and work my way into my life with a loving Grandmother.

My Grandmother Nada Kliebert died on September 27, 2009 at the age of 78. She was in the hospital for 13 days. 6 days being observed and 7 days on life support. She had a huge infection inside her stomach cavity that made her body toxic.

I’ll begin with her last 13 days with us.

Nikon Girl Music Video, The Photo Club

I’m in love with this video!

I’m a huge “Sony” lover but understand about other brands and what seems to be a brand war. Canon and Nikon seems to be the top in the industry but Sony is making head way. Just look at my photography! All shot with my Sony A700.

The lyrics in the video are funny. So I thought I would add it to my blog to share with you.  The video is put to together well. I love how it relates to my profession.
