Duco, Local Guide

Languages spoken: Portuguese

My name is Carlos Roberto da Silva Moraes, but in the realm of photography, I am recognized and referred to as "Duco". With a degree in Environmental Monitoring, which I obtained in the illustrious year of 1999, I have devoted the past 15 years of my professional life to capturing the beauty of nature through my lens in the stunning Eldorado and Iporanga São Paulo Region. Beyond being a dedicated nature photographer, I also serve as a knowledgeable local birding guide, leading enthusiastic nature enthusiasts through the hidden gems of this remarkable region.

At Duco’s property is the endangered and endemic Festive Coquette, endemic Saw-billed Hermit and Sombre Hummingbird. Duco has created an amazing place for photographers and also has a few lodging rooms. He is well-known in his region as all of the locals and nature preservers waives and say “Duco”! He knew the spot and had permission for us to see the endemic Dusky-throated Hermit. If you are in the South West of Brazil in the Eldorado and Iporanga São Paulo Region, you must hire Duco! He also has many other fascinating birds he can show you.
