About the species:
The Dusky-throated Hermit has a length of about 9 cm (3.5 inches) and a weight of around 4.5 grams (0.16 ounces). It has a strongly curved thin bill, a prominent dark mask, and pale eyebrows. It is primarily brownish, with a slight green tint above and paler below. Dark at the base and pale at the tips, the long tail is strongly graduated.
