The Sword-billed hummingbird is found in the Andean region of South America. It is about 13-14 centimeters long without counting its bill and weighs around 10-15 grams. This hummingbird is known for its unique appearance and behavior. Its body is mostly green and bronzed, and its bill is black and longer than its body. The bill is also slightly curved upwards. This species usually keeps its bill upright when sitting because its bill is long and heavy.
