I’m excited to share that throughout June, I’ll be exhibiting at the Hemet Valley Art Association Gallery in Historic Downtown Hemet. As a hummingbird photographer and conservation advocate, I’m honored to present a special month-long exhibit featuring two installations: one focused on endangered hummingbirds across the Americas highlighting the most imperiled species, including the critically endangered Chilean Woodstar, Juan Fernández Firecrown, Santa Marta Sabrewing, and Short-crested Coquette and a second celebrating California’s own hummingbirds, including Anna’s, Allen’s, Costa’s, Rufous, and Black-chinned.
This exhibit is an invitation to experience the beauty, color, and energy of hummingbirds up close through a curated collection of my work, with an emphasis on both what we stand to lose and what we can still protect in our own backyards. If you love hummingbirds, nature photography, or simply enjoy seeing something striking in person, I hope you’ll stop by and spend some time with the collection. My framed hummingbird photographs and hummingbird note cards will also be available for purchase during the exhibit.
Located in Historic Downtown Hemet, the Hemet Valley Art Association Gallery is a welcoming community art space where visitors can enjoy local exhibits and connect with the arts. I hope you’ll come by during June, experience the exhibit, and if you can, bring a friend.
