Book Signing at Hemet Valley Gallery

  • Hemet Valley Art Association Art Gallery 144 North Harvard Street Hemet, CA, 92543 United States (map)

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, I held a special book signing event for my acclaimed work, Endangered Hummingbirds: Seeing the Crisis Through My Lens*, at the Hemet Valley Art Association in Hemet, California.

Leading up to the event, I promoted the book signing through Facebook, Instagram, and Nextdoor, which helped introduce many new visitors to the gallery. The event attracted hummingbird enthusiasts, photography lovers, conservation supporters, and members of the local community, many of whom were visiting HVAA for the first time.

Guests had the opportunity to:

  • Meet with me personally and hear stories from my travels throughout Central and South America

  • Learn about the conservation challenges facing many of the world’s hummingbird species

  • View my exhibition displayed on panels #16 and #20, featuring stunning framed hummingbird photography

  • Purchase my award-winning book, enamel hummingbird lapel pins, note cards, other hummingbird books, journals, and other artwork

Hemet Mayor Linda Krupa attended the event and spent time visiting with Anthony and guests, demonstrating her continued support for the arts and cultural programs in our community.

The event was a tremendous success:

  • The gallery welcomed several new members

  • Gross sales exceeded $3,000, including my books and merchandise

  • Increased gallery traffic also resulted in sales of member artwork and handcrafted jewelry, benefiting many local artists and artisans

During the event, I also introduced visitors to the International Hummingbird Society’s Certified Hummingbird Haven Program. As an IHS Board Member and Conservation Committee member, I encourage homeowners to create hummingbird-friendly habitats that provide food, water, shelter, and support for local and migrating hummingbirds. Learn more about becoming a Certified Hummingbird Haven at International Hummingbird Society.

I’m grateful to HVAA for hosting this special event and for helping bring new visitors, new members, and new supporters to the gallery while raising awareness for endangered hummingbirds.

If you missed the event, you can still purchase your book in our shop!
