I’m excited to be part of Summer Hummerz at Ventura Botanical Gardens with a special book signing for Endangered Hummingbirds: Seeing the Crisis Through My Lens. During this vibrant summer celebration of hummingbirds, I’ll be at the Gardens meeting visitors, signing books, and sharing the story behind my work photographing endangered hummingbirds across the Americas.

Join me for this special appearance on Friday, July 10, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, and Saturday, July 11, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The Gardens will also be selling my hummingbird note cards and enamel lapel pins, so stop by, explore the exhibit, and say hello. You might even see some of my hummingbirds on the banners.

Experience Summer Hummerz

From June 2 through August 31, Ventura Botanical Gardens transforms into a colorful hummingbird-inspired experience with Summer Hummerz, an immersive exhibit where nature meets imagination.

Come wander the scenic walkways, enjoy fragrant wildflowers mixed with the crisp, salty breezes of the California coastline, and discover whimsical, photo-worthy moments throughout the Gardens. Designed for visitors of all ages, Summer Hummerz brings together learning, creativity, and the magic of hummingbirds in a beautiful coastal setting.

Set above the California coastline, Ventura Botanical Gardens offers a wonderful place to enjoy the beauty of nature while celebrating one of California’s most dazzling little visitors. Whether you are coming for the exhibit, the gardens themselves, or to meet me during the signing, I hope you’ll stop by and be part of this special event.
