Featured in Summer Hummerz
at Ventura Botanical Gardens

Anthony Lujan’s hummingbird photography was featured in Summer Hummerz, an immersive seasonal exhibition at Ventura Botanical Gardens celebrating hummingbird diversity, education, art, and conservation.

Working in collaboration with the Gardens, Anthony’s images were used to illustrate the extraordinary variation found throughout the hummingbird family. The exhibition highlighted differences in color, size, body shape, bills, tails, plumage, and specialized adaptations across species from throughout the Americas.

The photography supported the exhibition’s educational and conservation messaging, helping visitors look beyond the hummingbirds commonly seen in Southern California and discover the remarkable diversity of 365 species in the Americas. Each image represented a distinct species with its own habitat, behavior, evolutionary story, and conservation needs.
